LUCKY the Cat needs a home
Lucky certainly earned his name. His foster mom found him in the middle of a fairly busy two lane road, seconds after he had been straddled by an SUV. She thought at first it was a dead kitten, but he moved as she passed, trying desperately to find safety but not knowing where to go. She pulled over quickly and ran back to scoop him up. He was very unhappy and spitting mad, but so tiny he couldn’t put up much of a fight. She guessed him to be between five and six weeks of age.
Once she got him home, he turned out to be fairly skittish about being caught, but he would calm down and relax once he was cradled in her hands. She suspects he was treated roughly before he was discarded, or perhaps he had very little, if any, human contact. Lucky was adopted into a family last year with an extremely noisy youngster and was very traumatized before his foster mom was able to get him back. This has slowed his willingness to socialize with new people, and now, at nearly two years old, he still has reservations about anyone new in his life. Once he knows you though, he is a charming fellow. He has become great pals with all of the cats sharing his area. He has not had any experience with dogs, so he will be concerned about them at first.
Lucky will need a quiet family with much older children, a family who will be willing to give him the time and space to gain the confidence he needs to enjoy the love and attention he deserves.
